Dr. Hans-Jörg Schmerer

Beruflicher Werdegang
Hans-Jörg Schmerer ist seit 2015 Professor für Volkswirtschaftslehre, insb. Internationale Ökonomie, an der FernUniversität in Hagen Nach Abschluss seines Studiums der Internationalen Volkswirtschaftslehre an der Universität Tübingen forschte er dort zu möglichen Arbeitsmarkteffekten der Globalisierung. Seit 2009 ist er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am IAB beschäftigt. Er übernahm Vertretungsprofessuren an den Universitäten Passau (Lehrstuhl für "Internationale Ökonomie") und Duisburg-Essen (Lehrstuhl für Ostasienwirtschaft) bevor er 2015 den Ruf an die FernUniversität in Hagen annahm. Schwerpunkt seiner Forschung ist die Untersuchung von Arbeitsmarkteffekten der Globalisierung.
