"To investigate the impact of the minimum wage on wages, employment and other outcome variables, the German Ministry of Labour commissioned a series of evaluation studies. These studies typically found significant effects on the wages of low-paid workers and minimal or no job losses (for an overview, see Möller 2012). A significant disemployment effect only occurred in a few sectors or professions where extraordinary high minimum wages were implemented.
