Nonresponse-Analyse, Gewichtung und Stratifizierung zur Erhebung des gesamtwirtschaftlichen Stellenangebots

Kurzbeschreibung
Gegenstand des Projektes ist die Berichterstattung offener Stellen an Eurostat methodisch zu erweitern. Das IAB berichtet bereits vierteljährlich über offene Stellen gegliedert nach Firmengröße und Wirtschaftszweigen. Der Schwerpunkt des Projektes liegt in einer Nonresponse-Analyse der EGS sowie der Prüfung von Verfahren zur Gewichtung offener Stellen.
Ziel
Es wird geprüft, ob sich Nichtantwortende hinsichtlich offener Stellen systematisch von den Antworten der schriftlichen Befragung der EGS unterscheiden. Zur Darstellung der offenen Stellen auf der Ebene der Bundesländer wird ein neues Stichproben-Design getestet. Die Auswertungsmöglichkeiten nach der neuen KldB in der Befragung werden untersucht.
Methoden
The project will start with a non-response-analysis. We will select 5.000 cases from the non-respondents and respondents of the first wave in the fourth quarter and follow up with them via telephone. This follow-up survey will provide insight into possible differences between respondents and non-respondents with respect to the most important variables (job vacancy counts) of the survey. Telephone interviews of this group with questions on vacancies and occupied posts are expected to have a high response rate.
We will build response propensity models using the rich administrative data available at the IAB. Together with the auxiliary information on firm size, NACE Rev.2 sectors, vacancies and occupied posts in both of our samples (respondents and non-respondents) we conduct a calibration to specify a new weight to extrapolate to the total population.
