Professional background

Anja Rossen studied economics at the University of Kiel where she specialized in econometrics, statistics and economic policy (Diploma 2011). From 2011 to 2015 she was a researcher at the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI) and worked in the research fields "Economic Trends and Global Markets", "Labor Economics, Economics of Education and Demography" and „Energy, Environment and Climate”. Since October 2014 she was also responsible for the quarterly forecast of the German Economy at the HWWI. Anja Rossen completed her doctorate at the Helmut Schmidt University Hamburg with a cumulative work on the subjects forecasting methods, modeling metal prices and regional labor mobility. Since February 2016 she is a senior researcher at IAB Bavaria.
