Regional Labour Market Forecasts 2024/2025: Poor Development in the Regional Labour Markets

Abstract

"The stagnating economic growth is leaving more and more marks on the labour market. While employment is no longer predicted to increase in all federal states, unemployment is increasing everywhere. Rural areas are particularly affected by increasing unemployment and decreasing employment. On the basis of the IAB labour market forecasts for Germany, in this IAB-Kurzbericht we provide forecasts for the federal states and the labour market districts."
