Professional background
Since 2017, Philipp Jaschke has been a Researcher in the "Migration and International Labour Studies" Research Department of the IAB. He obtained his master's degree in Economics at Kiel University (Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel), as well as his bachelor's degree at the University of Bonn (Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn). His research focuses on the labour market-related aspects of international migration. In this context, he deals in particular with selection effects in migration decisions, as well as the role of social networks, factors of economic geography, and the immigration and integration policies for the labour market success of immigrants.
