Institutional hurdles slow the integration of refugees down (Interview)
Abstract
"When refugees first arrive in Germany, apart from individual constraints, institutional hurdles hinder them from integrating into the labor market. However, seven years after arrival, 63 percent are employed. This can be considered a major success. In this interview, IAB researchers Maye Ehab and Philipp Jaschke give insights into labor market trajectories of refugees and explain what could be done to improve their labor market integration."
