Functions at the IAB

Professional background

Sebastian Bähr studied social sciences at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU).. He completed his degree in 2011 as a Diplom Sozialwirt (Univ.). Since 2007 he holds a B.A. in international business from the University of Hull, United Kingdom. From 2011 to 2017 he worked as a lecturer at the Chair of Sociology and Empirical Social Research (Prof. Dr. Martin Abraham) of the FAU. Since April 2015 Sebastian Bähr is working at the IAB. He completed the Graduate Programme of the IAB and the School of Business and Economics of the FAU, in which he participated from 2012-2014. In 2017 he finished his Ph.D. (Dr. rer. pol) at the FAU. Currently he is working as a senior researcher at the research department “Panel Study Labour Market and Social Security”. Since 2020, he is also part of the research department "Regional Labour Markets”.
