Abstract

"The Citizen's Benefit Act (Bürgergeld-Gesetz) came into force at the beginning of 2023, although large parts of the legal changes only became effective on 1 July of the current year. With this law, the federal government aims at a "fundamental further development" of the basic income support for jobseekers. The Citizen's Income Act and its numerous legal amendments are being evaluated by the Institute for Employment Research. In addition to a general description of the evaluation programme, the research report documents the research questions and methods of the various evaluation projects."
