Professional background

Alexandra Schmucker is a senior researcher at the Research Data Centre (Forschungsdatenzentrum – FDZ) of the Federal Employment Agency (BA) at the IAB.
She studied social sciences at the Friedrich Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and graduated in 1999 (degree: “Diplom-Sozialwirtin”). From 1999 to 2004, she was a researcher at the Institut für Freie Berufe at the Friedrich Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
She joined the IAB as a researcher in 2004. She mainly worked at the FDZ and from March 2019 to February 2021 at the “Data and IT-Management” service department.
