Abstract

The general goal of SFB 882 is to find out more about the causes of inequality. Three sub-projects focus on the labour market and social security: „The legitimisation of inequality – structural conditions of the formation of fairness attitudes”, “Interaction between fulfillment opportunities in the working and private life – an investigation of employees in different organizations”, and “Inequality effects of firms’ employment policies: the temporary relocation of workers to unemployment“. The empirical analyses will be based on BA and IAB data which will be supplemented by new surveys. One goal of the research cooperation between IAB and SFB 882 is to jointly create new datasets, the other goal is to jointly use the data to answer the research questions on inequality on the labour market.
