Project duration: 01.10.2009 to 31.12.2022
Abstract
Measures to maintain and promote employability are becoming more and more important, especially in the context of changes in the working environment. For that reason it is necessary to assess and analyse the current functional health and employability of the labour force. Furthermore, sound empirical knowledge is needed about the factors which influence working ablity. At first we take an interest in the identification and analysis of factors which benefit or hinder mental health and well-being. Besides analysing these influencing factors and interdependecies, we additionally want to examine which indicators are most suitable to predict the employment status five years after the start of this study.
The data basis is a representative data collection of 4500 employed persons in the German labour force. If the interviewed persons agree, there will be a data linkage of their previous employment history (BA/IAB data) and the interview data. The collected data offers an additional possibility. With regard to a variety of occupational health research questions and quality checks of used health indicators.
