Abstract

The Institute for Employment Research (IAB) provided the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) with comprehensive administrative data of the IAB and the German Federal Employment Agency valuable to research projects focussing on an evaluation of labour market policies. The sampling design and the set of variables were specifically adapted to the purpose of evaluation studies. The Research Data Centre (FDZ) now plans to make these data available to scientific research in general. In the course of the project, the data will be processed and documented according to FDZ standards.
