Abstract

The great need for quick findings on urgent questions of labor market and social policy can be effectively served by setting up a web-based labor market-related high-frequency panel. In addition to surveying all participants at regular intervals, such a high-frequency panel additionally allows to select samples of groups of people relevant to specific issues from the pool of participants within a very short time and to conduct standardized surveys on pressing issues. The planned development study will initially conceptualize and subsequently test such a high-frequency panel of people. The working-age population in Germany is surveyed on working and living conditions as well as on labor market and social policy issues. The study plans to recruit around 10,000 people and survey them on a regular basis at three-month intervals.
