Functions at the IAB

Professional background

From 2010 to 2013 Karolin Hiesinger studied Social Sciences and Economics (B.A) at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and completed her M.Sc. course in Labour Market and Human Resources in 2015. She then worked at the Institute for empirical Sociology (IfeS). She completed her doctorate as part of the joint graduate programme of IAB and FAU (GradAB) at the University of Regensburg in January 2024.

Karolin Hiesinger has been a researcher since July 2016 and advisor to the Director since April 2021 at IAB.  

In her research, she focuses in particular on the integration of individuals with health impairments and severe disabilities into the labour market.

Activities
