Abstract

On January 17th and 18th 2019, the 11th interdisciplinary Ph.D. Workshop "Perspectives on (Un-)Employment" took place at the IAB. The aim of the international workshop is not only to encourage the exchange of PhD students between various disciplines of labor market research, but also to offer them an opportunity to present their work and receive valuable Feedback. The highlights of the workshop included the keynote speeches of the economist Daniel S. Hamermesh from Barnard College and IZA and the sociologist Marita Jaocob from the University of Cologne.
