Professional background

Lutz Eigenhüller studied sociology at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg from 1992 to 1998 (M.A.). Between 1998 and 1999 he was research assistant at the Institute of Sociology at the same university. From 1999 to 2002 he worked as a member of the research staff of the IAB, contributing to the research accompanying the introduction of the Immediate Action Programme of the Federal Government to reduce youth unemployment. Between 2002 and 2004 Mr Eigenhüller was responsible for labour market and occupational research at the Regional Directorate in Bavaria. He joined the staff of IAB Bavaria in 2004.
