Professional background

Dr Volker Kotte completed a degree in administration at the University of the Federal Employment Agency (HdBA) and studied educational sciences and sociology at the University of Bielefeld and the FU Hagen. He received his doctorate in pedagogy from the University of Kiel in 2012.

He has been an employee at IAB-Nord in Kiel since 2005.

His research focuses on training and the dual system, spatial mobility of workers and demographic change.
