Professional background
Dr Angela Ulrich studied social sciences at the Universities of Gießen and Mannheim. She completed her doctorate in educational science/sociology at the RPTU Kaiserslautern.
From 2014 until 2024, she was a research assistant and lecturer at the Hochschule der Bundesagentur für Arbeit (HdBA) in Mannheim. Previous professional stations included completing the management trainee programme of the Federal Employment Agency (BA) and subsequent activities in the operational area. She has been a research associate at the IAB since February 2024.
Her research focuses and interests are in the field of empirical social research, transition from school to vet/studies, further education and relational theories.
