Professional background
Gudrun Fausel studied economics at the Free University of Berlin from 1987 to 1993 and completed her degree to become a commercial manager (Diplom-Kauffrau). From 1993 to 2006 she worked as a member of the project staff and advisor in the building industry, at the BvS (Bundesanstalt für vereinigungsbedingte Sonderaufgaben (Federal Institute for extraordinary costs resulting from reunification)) and in business consultancy in the real estate sector. From 2007 to 2010 Ms Fausel was a personal contact with case manager responsibilities U25 in the field of SGB II (Book II of the Social Code) at the Federal Employment Agency. She has been on the project staff of IAB since 2010.
