Professional background

Elke Dony was a student at the University of Applied Sciences in Mannheim from 1980 until 1983 where she gained her diploma in public administration (Dipl.-Verwaltungswirtin). From 1983 to 2000 she was a staff member in the rehabilitation section (initial and renewed integration), in the child allowance department and in the area of childcare payments, objection claims and placement at the Federal Employment Service (BA). In the course of 2000/01 she qualified as a work counsellor and acted as a rehabilitation counsellor for initial and renewed integration at the BA until 2007. She joined IAB in April 2007 and has been a member of the project staff since then.
