Professional background

Sophie Altschul completed her Master's degree (M. A.) in Sociology at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) in 2024. 

During her studies, she worked at the Office for Equality and Diversity, as a tutor for Sociological Theory and at the Chair of Human Resource Management and Task Management at FAU. As of May 2020, she has also worked as a research assistant in the Gender Equality Office, in the Labor Market and Social Security Panel (PASS) department and in the Quality of Employment working group at IAB.

Since August 2024, she has been working as a research associate in the Director's Research Group (FGDir) at IAB. 

Her research interests include the area of labor market and gender (inequality).
