Professional background

Konstantin Körner studied macroeconomics in Berlin (FU, HU), Madrid (UC3M) and Singapore (NUS, NUS Business School) from 2008 to 2014. From 2014 to 2017, he worked as a research associate in a Member of Parliament's office in the German Bundestag, where he was in charge of the topics “EU Public Finances” and “International Affairs”. Afterwards, he had a research stay at Princeton University in the field of foreign trade and international macroeconomics. From 2017 to 2020, he worked as a research associate at the University of Regensburg, where he taught, in particular, the subjects of econometrics, regional economics and monetary macroeconomics. He obtained his PhD in 2021. In his dissertation, he analysed the impact of international value chains on the German labour market. He has been working at the IAB since 2020.
