Abstract

This project focuses at the life situation of youth receiving basic income support for needy jobseekers in general as well as at the integration of benefit recipients into vocational education and employment. The analyses addresses three main topics:
• life circumstances of youth and how they are evaluated subjectively
• participation in active labor market programs and causal effects of labor market programs for youth and young adults
• time in benefit receipt and exit routes from benefit dependency
