How to govern the country better - An example of good practice for employment policy
Project duration: 11.04.2018 to 11.04.2018
Abstract
Successful labour market policy requires a solid understanding of the causes and structures of the developments on the labour market. This knowledge is best provided by high quality research. One important but difficult task of modern societies is to set up institutional arrangements securing effective symbiosis of science and policy formation processes resulting in evidence-informed policy making. In a one-day symposium at CERGE-EI in Prague, we are going to discuss the interaction between labour market policy and labour market research and talk about experiences how a research institute can operate on the basis of a statutory mandate to provide advice to political actors.
