Frequency of contact with job centers and integration success of refugees

Abstract

As part of the so-called Jobturbo, job centers are to increase the frequency of contact with customers who are refugees in Germany. This project examines the effects of the increased frequency of contact on the integration success of refugees. The analyses are carried out on the basis of existing process data and survey data from the IAB. On the one hand, the focus is on the supply side, i.e. it is examined which client profiles are increasingly invited for advice. On the other hand, the demand side is also considered. This involves the question of which groups of people particularly benefit from the increased intensity of advice. In addition, the question of whether the increased contact frequency of some customer groups could have a negative impact on other groups of people is also investigated.
