Professional background
Nicoleta Socaciu studied sociology at the University of Bucharest from 1998 to 2002 (Dipl. Univ.) and from 2002 to 2004 "European Social Policy" (M.A.) at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. She then completed a Master's degree in "International Economic and Development Policy" at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) from 2004 to 2007.
From 2007 to 2011, she was a research assistant at the Chair of Empirical Social Research at FAU. During her parental leave from 2011 to 2021, she taught economics at German schools abroad in Japan and Singapore.
Since January 2022, she has been a specialist for science-oriented services in the Scientific Information and Library division at IAB.
