Tasks
IAB's Equal Opportunities Officer is elected according to the Federal Equality Act (Bundesgleichstellungsgesetz) every four years.
Her duties include the promotion and implementation of the Equality Act and ensuring it is adhered to. She is involved in all personnel, organisational and social matters within IAB that are connected to the equality of men and women as well as the compatibility of professional and family life. Performing these duties is not subject to directives.
The Equal Opportunities Officer supports and advises IAB's male and female staff in individual cases, especially in questions and problems of career advancement, in eliminating disadvantages and in the compatibility of family and professional life.
