Professional background

Silvia Schwanhäuser first studied Sociology (B.A.) from 2011 to 2015 and afterwards successfully completed a Master’s degree in Survey Statistics (M.Sc.) at the University of Bamberg from 2015 to 2018. Between 2018 and 2022, she worked as a researcher at the IAB’s Statistical Methods Department (Kompetenzzentrum Empirische Methoden, KEM). Additionally, she was part of the Graduate Programme (GradAB). Since April 2022, she has been working as a researcher at the “Migration and International Labour Studies” (INTER) research department at the IAB. Her research focusses on data quality, interviewer effects and survey methodology.
