Professional background

Franziska Jahn has been a GradAB doctoral student at the IAB since October 2024 and is pursuing her PhD at Humboldt-Universität Berlin. Her research examines long COVID as an occupational disease and work-related accident from a labor and gender sociological perspective.

From 2022 to 2024, she was employed at Forsa GmbH as a project manager in the social and political research division. She previously studied social sciences in Kiel, Bucharest and Berlin. In 2023, Franziska Jahn’s master’s thesis “Occupational Diseases and Intersectionality” was honored by the Women's and Gender Studies Section of the German Sociological Association (DGS). 

She is currently also a researcher in the department “Joblessness and Social Inclusion” at the IAB. In the research project “Hiring Practices”, she examines how establishments approach human diversity in recruitment.
