Sabine Hofmockel

Professional background
Sabine Hofmockel began her professional career with training as a bank clerk and went on to study Business Administration at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg from 1994 to 1999, graduating with a degree in Business Administration.
She then gained extensive experience over many years in various staff roles at BayernLB. Sabine Hofmockel joined the IAB in March 2012, initially working in the finance team and in third-party funding administration. Since August 2014, Sabine Hofmockel has worked as a Personnel Consultant at the IAB, closely supporting the Research Departments in all aspects of recruitment and human resources development.
In October 2021, she took on the role of Head of Service Department Human Resources, Qualifications and Infrastructure. Since 2026, the area has been part of the newly established Service Department Research-Focused Resource Management WRM, together with the finance team and the third-party funding team.
