Professional background

Dr Pascal Heß is a research associate at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) and received his doctorate from the Research Center for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) at the University of Maastricht.

He completed the bachelor's and master's programmes in European Economic Studies at the University of Bamberg. Before he joined ROA in 2020, Pascal Heß was already a research assistant at the IAB. 

His research interest mainly lies in the link between education and labour market outcomes. His current research focuses on policy evaluations and the school-to-work transitions.
