Abstract

According to the new DSGVO, which has been in force in the European internal market since the end of May 2018, the requirements for data protection and questionnaire design are also changing in certain areas in scientific surveys conducted by the IAB. Under certain conditions, the readiness for a re-interrogation and the associated address storage must be recorded directly during the survey.
The retrieval of contact information is also a relevant topic from data quality aspects. In panel surveys, for example, contact information is requested in order to prepare participants for contact in the next wave, increase their willingness to participate and thus counteract panel mortality.
