Evaluation of Social Security Code II Instruments at the Regional Level
Project duration: 01.01.2009 to 30.06.2012
Abstract
The project investigates the effects of regional employment promotion of unemployed welfare recipients on the regional job-seeker rate after the introduction of a new welfare benefit system (Social Code II) in the year 2005. Due to the short period since the implementation of the Social Code II and the related availability of data, research is limited to selected short- and medium-term employment and training schemes. In order to account for potential individual lock-in effects also at the regional level, we do not only consider the stock of the measures at a reference date, but include inflows and outflows of the measures into the analysis.
