Abstract
The project deals with the determinants and outcomes of occupational mobility of employees and self-employed in Germany, the U.K. and Switzerland. At the beginning of the project we ask, why occupational mobility is still low in Germany and what role the educational system and the labour market institions play in this context. The study wants to explain the individual determinants and gains from occupational changes.
