Abstract
The regions in Germany are affected very differently by the ecological and digital transformation due to their industry structure. In some cases, this is also associated with spatial reorganisation, which has an impact on employment. Which regions can take advantage of the opportunities presented by the transformation pressure due to their specialisation? Are there regional correlations that prove to be advantageous on the transformation path? Which regional characteristics favour job-to-job transitions within a labour market region? Which regions can exploit their own potential, and which regions lose employment to neighbouring regions?
