Abstract

Vocational training is one of the key success factors for securing skilled workers. In 2022, 26.8 % of training contracts started in Bavaria were terminated prematurely (Germany: 29.5 %). Research questions: How many of those who start a (dual) apprenticeship remain without a vocational qualification? How many drop out of training/terminate a training contract and take up (no) further training? When trainees drop out of a training program/terminate a training contract and start a new training program: Do they change occupation, company, occupation and company?
