Benefits Community in SGB II : With individual assistance, Jobcenters also keep an eye on the household
Abstract
"Whether and to what extent a person receives basic security benefits for jobseekers depends on the so-called 'Bedarfsgemeinschaft' (the community of members of a household in need of benefit). The Jobcenters' counsellors in assistance and placement are tasked with meeting the needs of both the individual and the benefits community. The authors examine how placement professionals in the Jobcenters consider the benefits community when they advise individuals and assist them in labour market integration."
