Getting as many people as possible out of basic benefits * Benefit recipients and receipt histories are heterogeneous

Abstract

"There are many reasons for people ending up receiving unemployment benefit II (Hartz IV). Long-time unemployment is only one of them. The aim to get as many people as possible out of basic benefits can thus only be achieved by tailored solutions. Not only are the different problematic situations of people relevant for the further development of basic benefits, but also the various correlations with other governmental benefits and the labour market."
