Professional potential of the over 50 year olds without work in Saxony
Abstract
"Against the background of demographic change in Saxony, which is expressing itself in a reduction in and ageing of the population, it will become increasingly difficult for companies to find suitable skilled staff. Within the coming 10 years, the Saxon population from 15 to under 65 years will drop by 11.7 % (see Statistisches Bundesamt: 12. koordinierte Bevölkerungsvorausberechnung, (12th coordinated population forecast) Variante (version) 1 - W1). As a result, the first thing that will drop is the supply of labour. Exploiting the potential of older employees and, above all, of older persons out-of-work could at least reduce the problems caused by an eventual lack of skilled labour."
