Possibilities for the creation of a scientific-use file for the IAB-Establishment-Panel

Abstract

"In this paper, the possibilities of releasing business data are examined. The current practice of microdata release in Germany is briefly described and the reidentification rist of business data is roughly examined. The requirements that habe to be met by an anonymised data set are presented, subsequently, some methods of anonymisation are discussed and an example of masking data by adding random noise is given. In the summary, necessary steps towards a factual anonymised data set are deducted." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
