Hard-to-place people on the German labour market : employment situation and labour market policy
Abstract
"In this article, we provide an overview of labour market policy in Germany, which is aimed at improving the employment and participation chances of hard-to-place people. In the beginning, we present a short analysis of selection processes in the labour market, i.e. which groups bear the highest risk of unemployment and the reasons for this. Next, the current developments in active labour market policy are described. One important subject is the promotion of women's employment. In concluding, after a presentation of anti-discrimination policy in Germany, we report on employment promotion for handicapped people." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
