The working poor in Germany and the US: employment status and poverty in transatlantic comparison

Abstract

"Drawing on measures of relative income poverty, this report compares the level and development of in-work poverty in Germany and the United States for the years 1994-2006. It also considers general poverty trends and poverty among non-employed persons in both countries.
