Abstract

The project examines how the mobilization of symbolic, cultural, social and economic capital influences the interaction between jobseekers and employment services. The analysis identifies ressources that jobseekers need to master bureaucractic encounters. These resources are referred to as "bureaucratic capital". The study explores commonalities and differences between Germany and France.
