Abstract

Within the framework of a methodical experiment, a general interview training, which is suitable for both experienced and inexperienced interviewers, will be evaluated in the Establishment Panel 2020. In terms of content and methodology, the training will be developed on the basis of GIT-CAPI in cooperation with GESIS. Specifically, it will be investigated how the interview training affects various data quality indicators in the survey, such as interviewer performance with regard to contact rates, cooperation rates or the conduct of interviews. The aim is to improve the quality of interviewer training in general and thus to increase the data quality in interviewer-administered surveys.
