Abstract

Automation and digitisation technologies increasingly perform tasks that could previously only be done by humans. This development has triggered scientific and public debates on the future of work. Due to lack of data, it is still unclear how automation, digitisation and networking affect the labor market and challenges the future of work. Therefore, the IAB, the ZEW and the BIBB jointly create a new linked employer-employee data set in order to answer these questions.
