Job stability after long-term unemployment
Project duration: 01.01.2017 to 31.12.2020
Abstract
In this project we analyse different transitions from long-term unemployment back to work. In addition to common proceeding and reports of the Federal Employment Agency we do not focus on transitions out of unemployment, but on stable and not subsidized employed as a target state, either directly after unemployment or after short interrutions due to employment or non-employment. We want to analyse the conditions for a successfull job-finding, taking into account various individual, firm-specific, institutional, regional and business cycle factors. Furthermore, we use information on the employment history of the unemployed workers to explore the relevance of preceding times of unemployment and employment.
