Mandate of the Federal Employment Agency to provide gender equality in the field of social code III

Abstract
There is little evidence in the literature about the labor market prospects (unemployment duration, reemployment duration, labor market withdrawal) of the unemployed with special focus on gender differences. Theoretically important determinants of the reemployment chances of unemployed individuals are institutional factors, such as the process within employment agencies of placing the unemployed. The project “Gleichstellungspolitischer Auftrag der BA im SGB III” is to shed light on whether the German Federal Employment Agency has possibilities to reduce potential discrimination of men women on the labor market.
