Spacial differentiation, dynamics and capacity of the Bremen regional labour market
Project duration: 01.06.2008 to 31.12.2013
Abstract
The main goal of this project is to examine the dynamics and capacity of the regional labour market in Bremen and to determine how accurately, and with what effect, employment and training schemes work. Findings in this area may serve to optimize the job placement activities of the public employment service and improve the supply of labour provided to the regional economy.
The project is divided into three parts. Firstly the municipal labour market of Bremen has to be precisely identified and, secondly, its dynamics analysed. Based on this, in the final step, extensive research on the integration of the unemployed is undertaken and this then allows conclusions to be drawn about employment potential and the chances of placement.
