Abstract

Skilled crafts are a significant part of the overall economy and are considered to play an important role, particularly in connection with the ecological transformation. At the same time, shortages of skilled workers in crafts have continued to increase in recent years. This report presents evaluations of graduates of vocational training in Bavarian crafts based on data from the crafts vocational training panel. In addition to an overview of structural characteristics, the focus of the analyses is on how these graduates stay with their training company. The question of the extent to which graduates stay with their training company is discussed here using the 2015 class as an example.
